This is one of 3 books I call my trinity.  (The others are My Daily Life, and My Imitation of Christ).  This book covers the spiritual aspects of life.  Leading you through the way of purification,  imitation and union.  Though these virtues are meant to lead you closer to Jesus, they are completely practical and doable.  The chapters are short, only a page or two.  I read 1 chapter a day.  The first part of each chapter is Christ speaking to you.  The next part is what you might think about what was said.  And the last is a prayer.  I cannot recommend this book more highly.  I have read it over and over for many years.  It has taken a while for its messages to sink into my pea brain.         Grow in Christ.
